Bottled Water

I drink bottled water almost exclusively (Highland Spring to be exact). I don't like the taste of tap water and I don't like the fact that all sorts of crap is added before it gets to me. I use filtered water for making tea and coffee.

The tap water where I live isn't as bad as some places but, despite what some people in this thread say, I can tell the difference and don't like tap water.

Most importantly, I most definitely won't put tap water in my whisky. I'm not spending £50+ on a bottle of single malt and then knackering the taste with the bleach and crap they put in the water :p

I drink bottled water at home because the tap water is disgusting, there would have to be something wrong with you if you couldnt tell the difference, but I drink tap water in Scotland as it is fine to drink and doesnt stink of chlorine.

I buy the big bottles of ASDA water now and then when I'm out and about. 12p for 2 litres of water, job done!

It's mad when I see people buying bottles and bottles of 'designer brand' water, morons.

Cheap asda water is really tap water :D

Water. The most easily accessible thing in our country aside from trash tv and mac10s. I see people, all the time, buying bottled water. It confuses me. The only justification for buying a bottle of water, in my view, is that you just lost you last one. Just how deep is your gym bag? Some of the prices for bottled water are outrageous, particularly in a service station. The water costs more than petrol. Of course, there is the alleged favouritism of taste. Whilst less stupid that the 326kps v flacc argument, there is such a minimal difference in the taste that it a blind man would be glad to see it (..?!).

Well I, for one, say **** bottled water - it is a tax on the joobiest of joobs. Exception - all foreign water will give you a runny bum, fact. Bottled water or immodium en mass.

Are you a evian enthusiast or a haterade?
u rather drink tap water lol?

There is definitely a difference in taste from some bottled waters and tap (not always for the better) and different regions mains supply there is no doubt, i use a Brita filter and am adding a .5 micron filter to my mains that also filter chlorine etc to do away with the Brita but the generalizing statement one poster made that it is especially bad for men to drink tap water, what!

I do not drink single malt though :D

I can understand why some people buy bottled water, my aunt's in Tunbridge Wells - Kent has terrible tap water. As far as I can tell most of the South East has. Kettles gunk up with crap in no time. Cloudy in a glass quite more often than not.

I've not had to clean the inside of my kettle in 7 years in Edinburgh. Clear as crystal.

Manky, frankly.

If I want to drink water, I crack open a tap, fill a glass and drink it. Job done.

I buy big bottles of water and keep them safely tucked away, simply because my house is mains pressure ie. no cold water storage. So whenever the water is turned off I have no supply at all. As for brand, supermarket own and no I don't like sparkling coffee...

Tap water is decent where I am, it does seem to vary a fair bit around the country but may just be what you get used to.

Occasionally buy bottled water when I'm out and about and need a drink but I'm not really a big fan of fizzy drinks and the like.

I am honestly not fussy, I will happily drink the water out of my tap at home as its fine

I also dont mind spending 40-50p now and again on bottled water for when I am driving or something but yeah wouldnt normally pay the stupid prices you see in the service stations.

It's also nice to have a few empty bottles to take home, fill up with water and slap in the fridge so I can take one out at night and have a nice cold bottle next to my bed.

Slurping down can after can of fizzy crap? oh that's fine.

You buy bottled water when you're away from home? lol, complete ripoff!

Strange world.

We have a fridge filter, pretty necessary with the water in Cambridge. Other than that I object to the expensive bottled waters.

I haven't compared the tap water down here to anywhere else really but I don't have a problem with the tap water here. I usually dilute it with juices anyhow.

At work, filtered water is free so I usually just have water at work. Not a fan of spending nearly two pounds on a bottle of water though.
