I agree 100% with the above.

I use 2003 for stability.. it loads the cpu/ram/Gpu to the max on some scenes.
2001 for system speed.. as it allows you to see what effect mem timeings are having.
2005 for graphics performance to see how my gfx overclocks are effecting things.

i dont use 2006.

Reason I dont like 01 is because I've had the same score with it under two different GPU's - a 6800nu and a 6800gt - what does it measure cpu and memory overclocks?
BTW Daaaveee I get around 18k with every nvidia system ive tried on it.

2001 was a videocard benchmark in the beginning but with the advances made in the past years it became CPU/System limited.

That means that a change in CPU speed and /or memory speed gives you a higher score and it can be used to see if your complete system is working as it should.

3DMark'05 an '06 are so graphically intensive that it doesn't really matter what CPU you have as you will be almost totally limited by the videocard.

6500 for 05 isn't too bad, considering its running single channel. Should get better timings from the gskill so more points hopefully.

yep, fingers crossed. 4 hours to go... damn i can't wait to give it a whirl

also, does anyone know what vcore i should be looking at to O/C the cpu some more, as it wasn't stable at 2400mhz 1.5v

i can vouch for that, at our last LAN one of the guys had upgraded his PC from an AMD 2800xp to a 64 3500+ and saw his framerates improve by 1/2 to 1 FPS in 3Dmark05, because he was using the same GFX card.

3Dmark01 is ideal for CPU and Memory marks.

What system was that, surely not an A64 system as I got 24k with my Skt754 system (3000+@2450Mhz/unlocked 6800NU) and 29k with my current system.

Ye its a Socket A Athlon 2500@3200 - the 6800gt and 6800nu score identically lol.

It seems to perform identically in games to a a64 pc - i suspect however i go to lower fps easier than a a64 system - but I cant be bothered to upgrade atm lol.

Ah yes, 18k is a good score for your system.

Im sure I had just over 20K with the barton at 2.4ghz - but the amount of extra volts needed to get that boost wasnt worth it really.

ah yes i just thought, will the slight increase in FSB (or HTT i think it is on mine, w/e), have a derogatory effect on memory timings of the G Skill?
