Come off it, Lion is pretty much a Service Pack with a price tag.

It becomes a 'whole new OS' when it becomes OS XI.

Well yes, but it's a little like saying you're not going to buy a car you love because it has different Radio in it..

It takes what, half an hour to install the OS you want on it.

Fair enough, like i added in my post though, he could always say that there's software involved and could refuse a refund on those grounds as software isn't covered..... apparently

You will also need to get it to him in writing within 7 working days that you want to send it back.

The interface as a whole is so clunky.

Other than the fact that if you took 1000 mac owners and 1000 pc owners 80% of the pc owners will get a virus and realistically none of the mac owners will get one

Also in 4 years the pc will run like a dog and the mac will most likely be the same as the day it was brought

Also of your 1000 pc owners 50 will need to reinstall windows and 75% will get various software not working issues

@ OP: Yes, you should be able to send it back however I would stick with it for a bit. you can always sell it on in a month for little to no loss if you really don't get on with it.

I must admit I prefer W7 to OSX but hardware wise there's nothing nicer to use.

Dell Latitude range, offer better screen resolutions up to 1920x1080.

My E6510 is well built and extremely reliable, I'm not sure about the latest range though as the chassis was changed.

Plus the you can swap the optical for a SSD.

The business range from Dell comes with better service as well.

This has inevitably turned into the old mac vs pc debate.

OP if you don't like it then contact the seller with your opinion and just be honest and upfront about it, stating the DSR if necessary. Be sure to return it back to the state you found it in.

I'm going to close this now to stop any further pathetic debates.
