I hope you got crazy carpentry skills, good luck

Well this is it. I have no skills AT ALL!

All i have is my mum (and dad every few days a month) to help, along with a few friends who also know absolutely nothing :D

I need a haynes manual, but for caravans!

I guess the good thing here is that i dont have £thousands tied up in the van, so even if i mess it up, ive not lost much.

Any progress on this?

Ive done the of the van, replaced all the wood at the front and re-sealed the windows, but i saw a newer carlight on ebay, complete with a LOT of extra's:

So im putting the old one on ebay AS IS. if it doesnt sell, i'll carry on doing it up and sell it, but i need the room now, having 2 caravans around is cramped!

Aaaargh, you're turning into one of those wierd caravan people :(

Next you'll be telling us you have an orange & brown awning

lol. Caravan = £400, Car = £100. So the entire outfit cost £500 :D

Obviously ive spent money on maintenance, and will spend some on the caravan, but i thought really, ya cant grumble for £500 for car + van :D

That volvo looks in really good condition....did you do that or was it like that when you got it? I mean, for £100, you'd expect it to be a rustbucket.

I deliver to Carlight caravans in Sleaford.
They dont make caravans anymore from what i can gather, just refurbish and restore the old ones.
They only stopped manufacturing a couple of years ago from what i can gather.

Agreed, although it might not be some people's cup of tea, that Volvo looks mint, is easy on the eye, and in my opinion, doesn't look too outdated at all.

My Dad had an old G reg 240 GLT estate. He owned it between 1992 and 2006. When he finally got rid of it, it had done 200,000 miles.

He's since purchased himself an 850 2.5 SE T5 estate. Lets just say that it is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Considering it is a family car it is very, very fast!!!

Well i cant grumble, it got me to le mans and back last year, and hopefully will again this year + caravan. but ive owned it nearly 18 months and 11k miles and its been great. Wouldnt change it for much,

More Pics of my car here

Whilst said, its not everyones cup of tea, but for £100, its faultless :D

How did you get that Volvo for £100?? I want one of them myself :p

Came into the garage where my mom worked as a part ex. I offered £100 for it and got it :D

i was just going to use it for ragging around in, but it was so good, i decieded to keep it and sell my CTR.
