Bought an old BMW M3, filled with regret...

Ah sorry probably missed it in the other thread due to its activeness. Bought from C3BMW. They have an eBay store selling them but I emailed direct and got a cheaper price.

The lenses are the same as the ones on pre-facelift coupe E46s. The M3 never got a front light face-lift so retained the older design.

In later years BMW switched to Magneti Marelli lenses instead of Bosch. Side by side I can't tell the difference. Guess Bosch stopped making them so BMW got a new manufacturer.

Well I don't know what you sick *******s were thinking of but I was thinking Robbie might go on a nice bike ride with it. :p

Well both offer an unhindered view of your POV :p

The head strap is actually a helmet strap so will fit on caps and stuff too. Was £18 as part of a massive accessory kit for gopros on Amazon. Comes with mounts for all situations.

Are you planning to do some videos from outside the car?

@geekman yeah it's the cyclist type that usually have one attached to their helmet..

So one for all purposes, quite handy that.

How does that one compare to the GoPro range?

Tempted to get one at that price!

Quite a few similarities. the picture quality of the GoPro is slightly better, the metering for EV stepping is smoother and the GoPro supports 120fps whereas this is only 60. There are better models out of course but the SJ4000 gets the best reviews and is priced very well.

Mounts and accessories work between both brands as they use the same mount system. This one has built in Wifi so you can control it from your phone just like the Gopro.

Important thing is that it costs £60. GoPros with similar specs cost a lot more!

Yes :D

Or am I doing this wrong???
The camera is still being shipped so I have never touched one before, excuse my ignorance

For exhaust footage you have no other choice, but I wouldn't stick anything to my paintwork after everything it has been through lol :p

You have a point. I'll buy the kit anyways as I want the tripod and the head strap.

I'll most likely ditch the exhaust idea and just stick it on glass. Not worth the risk
