Bought my Lapping kit

Still here

:o

I brought it from a Irish Website. Should be here very soon. Interested in pics or no need?

p.s should I get the reaper memory that is on offer

Went to a car bits shop and got 1x400 for the rough work and 2x1200 for the fine finish. Would have liked to get an 800 but that's all they had. Woodies, our local DIY shop only went up to 600.

Waiting to get my new motherboard before I lap though.

**** off to school if you wanna teach people

:p

'I bought it from an Irish website' would be correct I think.

Anyway, you lapped anything yet? :)

I bought 400 and 800 grit wet and dry from my local car spares place, cost 50p all in but I've not round to using them except on my sons cricket bat to smooth it down after I'd shaved some wood off the bat to reduce weight and balance the bat. :)

:o

bought - past participle of the verb 'to buy'

I am going to buy it, i bought it

brought - pas participle of the verb 'to bring'

I am going to bring it... ( ) i brought it

/me thinks bought be right...

:D

It's "you're" not "your".

Unless you actually went to the Irish website to collect the lapping kit "brought" is the wrong word.

Last of all I don't see that swearing is warranted, I wasn't having a go at you, I was just correcting you.

I know spelling bugs some people but surely you'd expect this on a public forum so who really cares - not me - plus my spelling also sucks :)

[rant] It's an English speaking/typing forum. It's not asking much for people to use the language correctly. No one really cares about spelling mistakes or the like, it's when peoples' posts look like they were written by a 12 year old on their mobile that certain people (myself included) really feel the need to pounce on them.

If someone corrects another person's word usage and isn't an arse about it then there's no reason for name calling and telling them to **** off. [/rant]

I dont understand your need to correct me. You called yourself pedantic and you are damn right.

As long as you can just about understand what someone is saying on the forum it should be fine. Honestly 99% of people on this forum are cool and impart and collect information like civilised human beings, but theres always one.

Agreed. Doesn't bother me one bit - i expect the odd typo in all my posts despite having a decent grasp of the English language and being careful!

'Txt speak' is a whole other matter though! :p

That needs to be dealt with!!! ;)

gt

i think the issue is the fact that brought isn't a mis-spelling, its just the whole wrong word. I have a friend who says it, he also says "he turned round and said.. so I turned round to him and said" I have this mental image of him revolving whilst frantically collecting things to bring from shops.

ANYWAY... I just looked at the kit I bought from a friend who has a watercooling shop and I have 400 up to 2500.. is it totally over the top from 800 then?

Also, get some pics up your progress!

Now!

lol. Still in the post. Blame Ireland for that :(

Anyway im goin to have a whole review dedicated to it. then Ill show the image of the cooler.

Im hoping the AS5 is gonna make a difference.

I personally think stuff above 800 is needed. It aint that fine. We are talking about microscopic differences at the best of times so 2500 is great.

That one person is you. You're the only one who's been swearing and name calling.

If you'd rather just use the wrong words and mouth off at people who pick you up on it then go ahead.

Re-read what I posted. I think you'll see that you've over reacted. I also wasn't the first person who picked you up on it.

I've already given you civilised information in this thread and you'd be wise to take it.
