Bouncers in Leeds

I was out last night, dressed quite smart as I had been to work. Trying to get in on Call lane with one friend (male) and the bouncers would not let us in "not tonight lads, mixed groups only" we found six girls and asked if we could go in with them, they agreed. The girls got in but we didnt and were told "you arnt just allowed to find girls to go in with" !

Whats the beef with bouncers in Leeds, or is it down to management?

Its been like this for years in Leeds on Call lane And a few other places like greek street

Other cities seem fine, newcastle, manchester, liverpool and even london the bouncers are all safe. Does Leeds just get the left-overs that are on a power trip or something?

I hope everyone takes note of this if they are thinking of a night out in leeds. Like not long ago, a group of us went out, 10 guys and about 4 girls, couldnt get in certain places but the girls could (but didnt) serious money lost as we could have spent a good £20 each in a short space of time
 
If that's how the management want to run it that's how we run it. Either that or you just have that look about you and it's a nice excuse to get rid of you :D
 
Yes most bouncers are powertripped ***** who wouldn't think twice about ******** your GF in the club toilets whilst your "barred".
 
He was giving you the opportunity to fight him mano v mano & you Failed the test.
 
One place used to do this when i had a social life. Really not that bothered it was their profits going down the pan as you said.

No idea if its meant to stop people fighting or binge drinking.. whatever it is its silly :P


And most are pinheads or drug dealers. I agree.

I used to "know" the crowd that worked all the trendy clubs in Oxford, one of my house mates trained with them, they were all coke snorting c words.

They only want to let loads of women in and fewer men to get a rep that it's 5 to 1 situation, that is all.

Yes they can bully the small and weak, they **** them selves against anyone with reasonable ability and size.

It's good I don't go to work looking to take part in a boxing match then ;) and as someone who's a short arse I'd struggle to bully anyone smaller, unless we started letting in the toddlers :(

Also the atmosphere of a club with a decent ratio of men to women is a much nicer place than somewhere packed with men leering over a few girls which then leads to aggro.

Hence the word "most"

I find some of the cat scraps between girls can be much worse then a punch up between lads.
 
Yes I find this in Leeds too. They've said before due to friends not looking 'smart enough' and it being a Friday night in Leeds that they can't come in. A Friday night in Leeds - exactly, it's not Chelsea :p.
