THE SQUID FROM THE DEEP IS COMING TO GET ME!!

You struck me with a really eloquent pro-branding argument when I've talked to you on MSN before, opened my mind to the subject. I don't agree with it, I'm still not sure that a 'healthy' person does it - but I certainly think there is more on it to explore now.

it wont last long , itl be like when i branded myself with the rings from a car ciggy lighter , lasted a week

"hmm i think ill just press this back out with my finger"..........ARGH ARGHH /smells burning skin in car

wasnt one of the brightest things ive ever done !

They faded a couple of years ago...

The 'roller' from the lighter looked like the cans and the metal surround looked like the headband.

Funny, I had the exact same thing on my forearm, not self inflicted though. A friend had been playing with a lighter for a few minutes, happened to touch the wheels, exclaimed it was somewhat hot.
I told him he was wrong or being a wuss so he pushed it into my forearm, suffice to say he was right, took about 7 years to fade away enough that I can't find it without looking really hard in the right light.

The first thing that came into my mind also.

That pictures crap frankly. Could be your manliness for all we know.

That's a pretty big hole in the middle. :p

There is some resemblance though, and it kinda looks like my hand is gripping it...

Playing with Nitro rc car...
Car gets exceedingly loud all of a sudden..
Drives it up to my feet to find exhaust has come off of the header pipe..

Oh that just needs pushing back on.........

  Jesus H christ , that was a bit warmer than I expected!!

A month has now passed and I have almost grown back the last few layers of skin, leaving a nice mottled oval mark about 2cms across on my first digit. :o

Hard wearing areas like that wont mark as the skin grows back quite quickly, but if I'd done it on my butt cheek or something it would have been permanent.
Come to think of it, I burn my hands quite a lot at work (why do cars fall apart round the hottest part of the bloody engine) and not got a single permenant scar from a burn.

LOL This is like some low budget OCuK Indiana Jones spoof!

My Story which is sort of related:
I was at a party once, sitting outside round a table. For some reason there was a can of compressed lighter fluid that u put straight into the lighter so it didnt have a button on it (kind of like if u were to take the button off a deodrant can. There was just the tube.)

Anyway the guy goes "Oh yeah this is cool" and pushes the can down onto the table and lights the escaping lighter fluid. Made a pretty cool kinda circule of flame effect, that was until the can slipt and sprayed me with fluid. Both me and the table went up, at this point (remember i was a bit drunk) got up and started running around with my jumper on fire and the owner of the house comes out and poors a drink over his table.

At this point Im on the floor rowling around just about out, when the owner says "Dude, what the **** where you running around for. Did they not teach you 'drop and roll' in school!?"

Amazingly, Im burn free! :D

I picked up a hot bunsen burner gauze at school once and got a nice grill pattern across my thumb. It only lasted two or three months before it grew out.

first or second year of secondary school and we had those big old radiators in the classroom.. the ones that get really really hot.. well one of my friends decided it would be a good idea to rest the metal clip from a parker pen on the radiator for about half an hour.. then press it into my right hand.. just below the knuckle... from what I remember.. (only vague memory..) I think he held my wrist so I couldn't get away while he did it... blistered almost straight away.. can't remember how long he held it on there.. but it must have been a good few seconds.....

I still have a thin scar there now... has faded to skin colour... but it's still shiny compared to the rest of the skin... guess we're talking about 15 years

Yep i was in a Tibet once looking for a bit of jewelery that could be used as a the head of a staff to mark the the location of the ark of the covenant when the sun shone through it.

Got into some brawl with a yank lady and ending up trying to pick it up from the ashes of her burning bar. I still have the scar now, and some minor scars from being blown apart by ghosts.
