Brazilian Grand Prix 2010, Interlagos Circuit - Race 18/19

Red Bull do seem to have the pace over the field yet again. There's no doubt they will be at the sharp end in qualifying. Race pace and reliability is somewhat questionable.

Even a Red Bull 1-2 with Webber winning & Alonso finishing 3rd. He'll still leave with lead, a very slim 1 point lead mind you.

Regards the Massa & Jail situation. If he's ahead of Alonso, I guess they will do the 'swap' during the pitstops. It wouldn't be hard to execute. Wouldn't be blatant.

Given Red Bull still have some pace, it is crazy they haven't run away with this championship.

In all honesty Vettel should have won the championship easily already, but he has been extremely unfortunate with reliability costing him wins especially in the first few races.

Looking at the practise times, it looks like we are heading for a repeat of the last race. Vettel fastest, with Alonso fighting closely with Webber.

I've said this right from the start that Vettel will finish the WDC ahead of Webber. The DNF for Vettel in the last race really cost him, but I feel that Vettel is so much better than Webber, that he will finish ahead of Webber in the WDC.

It is certainly going to be a nervy race as Alonso does not have a car capable of rivalling Vettel, in terms of outright speed, so he will need to rely on weather conditions, a DNF or an error from Vettel.

it actually makes perfect sense. The rules are rules. Countries have laws and betting happens. It is no different to the cricket fiasco, which police are investigating. Or any other sport that has been thrown and criminal investigation undertaken.

Except they were paid by crooks to fix matches intentionally, with specific things happening at specific times. Quite a bit different, not that I agree with either, as honest punters get robbed because of it.

Did you actually look at the practice times? For the purposes of this, lets ignore FP1, where the times are hardly representative (Alonso 13th for example).

In FP2, there was 1 tenth of a second between Vettel and Webber, with Alonso 2 tenths down the road. 1 tenth is nothing, and doesn't show that Vettel will go on to dominate. Webber's ultimate lap time was actually faster than Vettels. You seem to have just made up your opinion without looking at the data, and you are entitled to your opinion, but don't qualify it with stats you haven't actually looked at.

It's really very impressive the way Red Bull have been able to maintain their advantage over the others. Perhaps some rain during qualifying will prevent them from dominating the front row as they usually do.

hamilton isnt out of it either and massa is a master of this place.

Massa has been an absolute donkey and will be at Brazil no doubt, he's already pledged himself to Alonsos cause anyhow. It's most definitely a Red Bull run away.
Unless! Webber decides to get down n dirty and take on the German its game over for his title run. Abu Dab will then be the gamebreaker.

It's also hilariously impressive how they've managed to throw away an utter walk in the park this season too.
