break up 2ssds from raid back to simple drives

I have been running two vertex 3 128s in raid 0. I have upgraded to a Corsair M4 256 by cloning from the original vertex's. No problems.
Now I want to use the vertexes as separate drives but I cannot get rid of the raid structure. If I plug only one in, the system does not recognize it. I have tried disk part/clean but nothing will reset the disks. Computer manager sees them as a single disk even with only one plugged in and gives an IO error so I cannot talk to a single disk. List disk does not find a single disk

I cannot reformat them individually as the OS does not recognize the single disk.

Any ideas?

Have you tried plugging them both in and then just going into the RAID setup screen and deleting the array?

This should clear both drives for single use.

The RAID setup screen should appear just before Windows starts to load and with Intel it's CTRL-I to access it.
