Breakfast Cereal of choice

I tend to have a bowl of plain porridge in the morning with some brown sugar at work.
At home I will only buy Kellog's Crunchy Nut if it's on sale, as a few others have mentioned. I can smash through a box in no time, more so at night.

Always with full fat milk. Always.

Shreddies. Although I don't have it very often and the fibre is a killer as I tend to have half a pack at a time...

Big old bowl of Weetabix Oatibix. not very exciting but one of the better ones health-wise I found.

Cornflakes with hot whole milk and brown sugar.

Also like weetabix with either hot or cold milk, but it gives me heartburn these days for some reason.

Coco shreddies are my kryptonite. They were on offer at £2 for a huge box for a while and I got through quite a lot. Only have them at weekends though so often forgo lunch after. I think 2 big bowls probably contains an insane amount of sugar!

Workdays I religiously have overnight oats. Rolled jumbo oats (Tesco's organic are the best ones I've used), 2 spoons decent greek style yoghurt and some milk. Tastes like pudding and apparently very nutritious.

Equal parts by weight Chocolate Krave, Cocopops and Chocoflakes (I think only Asda do these now). 50/50 mix of chocolate milk and normal milk. Chocolate soft scoop ice cream.

Hands down best bowl of cereal I have ever eaten.

Yeah we've taken to this (in fact I'm sure I posted in this thread a few pages back :p). With the good carbs in the oats and the protein in the yoghurt, plus a bit of fruit it's a real winner. Keeps you going for ages. I can't fathom how people survive until lunch on sugary cereal. Sometimes at the weekend I'll have some cornflakes or shreddies instead and I'll be starving 2.5hrs later!

The real benefit for overnight oats is that it's ready to go in the morning. No faffing about like porridge.

yes, indeed, we are not all goldfish
..... breaking the groundhog day loop,
after some of the recent publicity/tv programs on the dirty word carbs and the equivalent sugar content , and (personally) the lack of any significant exercise during the morning,
stuck behind a desk, I wonder if overnight oats or porridge are the judicious choice, versus protein I guess ?
