Breaking Bad Season 5 - Part I

Dude, pics please!!!!

Here you go- might be a bit pic heavy and sorry because they arn't good quality photos and they don't do it justice realy "glare off the Plastic/Glass and bad light :( " Needs a glass front rather than the cheap plastic front that come with the frame.

Internally 37cm x 40cm so a nice size. made the frame which was flat into a mixture of flat and 3d boxes.. Did 2 at 7cm x 7cm and 1 at 10cm x 10cm all 2cm deep to take the props.

Quite a few meanings in what I chose to put on and if your a fan you'll get it if not you might be like wtf ? :)

This box has meths, bullets, and Dollars with crime scene markers. Representing that drugs money police and death are all tied together.

These boxes have the teddys eye from the plane crash and its representation of repercussions from Walt leaving Jesse's girlfriend OD-ing.Father mourning etc etc

The other box has the Walt family man picture, with props of Ricin, Lilly of the valley and 45 cal pistol bullet. All ways that Walt has evolved into a killer over the series's.

Full picture again, tried getting the brass plate on but too shiny, it has a few words and the chemical formula for meths inscribed on it.. It was also hard to choose what else to put on concerning quotes and visual triggers, like the acid and los pollos Hermanos and better call Saul card and so on. Could have done one twice the size with the ideas I had to be honest :)

Looks so much better in real life, going to have to be making my self one now :)

"Any problems posting this in here let me know and I'll move it"

Just some advice mate. Edit the swear words out of the pictures before a moderator sees them ;).

Cheers fella, To be honest I would if it was a post I'd typed but it's pictures of something i've made and it would detract from it i reckon. It's the show how it is it's not insulting or abusive to anyone in it's nature.

But truely appreciated for spotting a potential mess up.

Not being funny or anything but I'll leave it and ride with it, see what happens.

Hey, I don't give a **** about swearing personally, it was just a friendly warning. ;)

I love this show, I watched Season 1 as it came out but for some reason never picked it up in season 2, what a mistake! I have now watched up to episode 8 of season 5 and i'm now eagerly waiting for the show to start up again.

you should make another one and try ebay :D

A few people have suggested that since seeing it ;) it is a one off though and sourcing some of the gear I used to make a few of the props would be hard, it wouldn't be impossible.

Not sure what someone who is really into this show would pay to own one of them, lot of time and work went into some parts of it. But it does look the dogs in real life hanging on the wall ;)

Yeah, probably illegal to sell meth on ebay :p

How did you make that? It's epic.

Roughly, frame is a standard multiple frame and I made the 3D boxes out of thick card 2-3 pieces per box, cut through frame backing after lining them up and fitted them in solid.

Bullets are real fired 45s from army store, took bullets out for one display left in for the other.
Was going to make the meths like candy, sugar glucose food colouring etc but decided it wouldn't last once put on display so Meths is a blue glass, smashed up then pieces broken down with pliers washed with blue inks until I thought they looked right for Blue sky. Put in dealers bags which were button bags off wife's dresses.
Dollars I printed out double sided correct size and made look old and used before fitting it all together with some added police scene graphics.
Ricin poison holder is a paintbrush protector heated then sealed one end, added crushed paracetamol then used heat shrink to make a cap looking end like in BB episodes, used real cig, made Lilly of the valley plant marker in Paintshop, and real complete bullet.
Teddy bear eye is from an old teddy but I added the white to it using white electrical tape so it matched the show, then used a bit of dirty old pink teddy for the rest.
Quotes are just printed out on good quality menu paper, cut out and glued on.Did a bit in Paintshop making visual keys and spread them around, also personalised the Saul business card with my nephews and his girlfriends name.
Brass plate just done at a sport shop for a few notes.

Hardest bit was probably choosing the composition and placing everything so it covered as much as I could have the show and meant something to people who watched it
It ended up solidly built and should last for years. Loved making it :)
