US: Breaking Bad Season 5 Part II - The finale.

Im suspicious of Todd's Uncle's mate (if that's who he's supposed to be) and his attention to Todd's story of the methlamine heist. I've a nasty feeling that he's a Fed and will blow the whole thing open.

That actually does make a lot of sense, he did look very intrigued, would be quite poetic if after all they got away with it is that conversation that loads the bullet in the gun for walt, Hmmmmm, that's the thing with this show, it always has you guessing.

One thing i am quite looking forward to seeing is why Walt needs this ricin he returned home for, he is obviously expecting quite a showdown given the size of the gun he has in his trunk so who it is he plans on taking out silently with this poison has me very interested. One thing is for sure, the final episode/s are going to be explosive! Maybe he plans on taking out a single witness to get away with it all and come back form seemingly insurmountable odds. After all, that is Walts style.

I've found the whole series incredibly frustrating, I only continue to watch it as I've invested so much time in it and will be glad when it finishes.

Yeah its something I've been wondering about since watching the episode. There's a bit of debate online about it between fans (both fairly convincing).

Myself I think it just seemed like they had to pull that trigger but they did so in a not so believable way, which is unusual for this well written show. Its just too convenient how Jesse realizes the truth and also in coming up with another scenario that would lead to Jesse getting pick pocketed by the same person.

I agree with this. Only poor part of the show so far. There's not enough of a link there for Jessie to put it all together especially considering that was all dealt with. He found the "Ricin" and Ricin is not even what poisoned Brock so I'm not quite sure what his thinking behind it all is.

I'll let them off though because the rest has been utterly brilliant.

Walt told Jesse that Brock consumed Lily of the Valley. Jesse's realisation that Huell lifted his dope, and therefore the ricin, is basically him finally realising just how much he's been manipulated by Walt.

It's clear that Walt's house doesn't get burned down though, because in the flash forward the house is dilapidated, but not burned out.

I'd have to check but I'm pretty sure it was Jesse that told Walt that it wasn't the Ricin that poisoned Brock.

The nurses at the hospital told Jesse who then told Walt. this was after Jesse almost killed walt for thinking he did it with the ricin, of which he now realises he did all along.
jesse is becoming increasingly aware of Walts lies post Mike's death, so it wouldnt take much to jump to the conclusion if you were hyper alert on everything that Walt is doing/has done and whether it makes sense.

But Walt didn't do it with the ricin. There is no link tying Walt to the poisoning. All Jesse has is a hunch that Walt might have done it but even if he realised Walt lifted the ricin lifted that still has nothing to do with the plant that poisoned Brock.

I mean, I get it, it just seems a like a bit of a massive leap.

Finished season 4.
I hope season 5 focuses on the most interesting plotline and Walter finally get's revenge on GrayMatter and kills them all.
The drug dealing and related drama I find somewhat tedious.

Unrealistic things that ruin it:
-Walter W. would be a chemical engineer, not a chemist, in order to design means to manufacture surely
-mercury fulminate is a bizarre choice given mercury vapour is deadly poisonous and there are far safer primaries

The fulminate fitted well though, you had a clear explanation of it in the classroom providing the information for the viewer to understand a little of what it was walt used, it also gave him a way of smuggling the stuff into tuco's building given the resemblance to the crystal meth. It just fitted the plot well enough that you stretch you imagination a little.

Cheers ears, I've watched the entire series over the last week or so and I'm not used to having to wait :D

Is there 16 episodes this season does anyone know?

Supposedly 16 eps, broken into two 8-mini series.
So, there should be 5 episodes left :(

I can't do this, one a week business!!! The anticipation is killing me!
