US: Breaking Bad Season 5 Part II - The finale.

Sat there watching it in my Los Pollos Hermanos T Shirt yesterday. Brilliant finale. Loved every minute of it. Was great to see his genius shining through in the last ep with the red laser dots and the epic machine gun turret concoction.

The best TV Series I've ever watched. I don't watch much TV, I watched all of Lost, got to Season 3 of Dexter before never watching anymore and watched all of this since my Sister lent me the Season 1 DVD 2 or 3 years ago (when no one had heard of it over here!)

I have started from the beginning, and honestly, it feels like watching a new show. I have forgotten what happened in series one and its great to see it all again. Maybe I'll be able to see stuff I never appreciated before.

// Who remembers Jessie has a little brother. :)

I'm so tempted to start from the beginning so much happens in those 62 episodes I wish all series were so good and not dragging things out forever
I recognized one of the Neo Nazi's from Whitehouse Down... he plays almost the same character... in fact I can't tell what the difference is/was lol.
haha yea had me wondering if he was ex aryan brotherhood or something lol

Guess who was in ABC's lost

A little bit of me hoped that we would see an ending to if the money got to Flynn, and what happened to Jessie, but I suppose there has to be a little bit of imagination.
Plus we never really saw Lydia die, she might have made it too the hospital.

Do you seriously think Walt put in the wrong amount of Ricin? Has he ever measured anything wrong!?

hanks funeral would have been good and saul reading about Heisenberg in the paper whilst sitting on a beach somewhere.

I think they did the right thing leaving what jessie does/happens to him to our imagination though.

Did jessie even have any money still?

Perfect, absolutely perfect. I could go on and describe each bit in detail but there's no need, you've all seen it.

Just ... perfect.

Thanks Vince.

He didn't want anything to do with the drugs business, so he wouldn't have wanted any more connected to it, and certainly not after being enslaved for the thick end of a year. He was glad just to be alive.
I was just wondering if he was completely broke or not, I can't remember what he did with the money he had when he was supposed to be getting a new identity and going away.

or did we never find out?

He was picked up by Hank when he had that money, so it was likely still in Hank's house when they went and searched for what he told the DEA. Dunno whether they found/took the money from there ir not, but it's very unlikely that Jesse can get it (I can't imagine him wanting it anyway).

I thought Jessie would have been more mad at Walt. He found out he let his girlfriend die, and that Walt had paid these thugs to kill him and Walt told them he was hiding under the car. Then because of Walt he ended up as a slave and the thugs murdered his girlfriend.

I expected Jessie to end up killing Walt so it would be a dark ending. Turned out pretty convenient that:
Walt was allowed to park in front of the house though the guy was telling him not to.
All the thugs went into the house and none hung around outside.
All of them got killed except Jack and Todd so that Walt could kill Jack himself and Jessie could kill Todd and they would both have revenge.
Walt got took a bullet so he wouldn't have to go to prison/commit suicide and he just died slowly/poetically.

It was good that everything was wrapped up, but I expected something smarter/darker from BB. It seemed like something that would happen in some other TV show. There were much better episodes like when Mike died, when Gus died and that episode called Crawlspace where it ends with him laughing maniacally when he discovers his money is all gone. I was hoping the last episode would be epic like those.

Turned out pretty convenient that:

It was all very convenient. We saw a side of Walt we've barely seen; completely nonchalant, almost apathetic. He had a plan, and roughly followed it. Even when he had his keys taken off him, he didn't panic much, just did what he could... A man with nothing left to lose.

Don't get caught up in the details. The episode wasn't perfect, but it was a wrap-up to an excellent journey in television. Just enjoy it for that.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I liked how he had all those plans like the laser pointers and how he got Lydia (but I knew it as soon as it showed her putting the sugar in her tea), but just the ending felt a little tame. I was expecting more of a shock ending. Good that it was conclusive and all. I don't think I could watch the whole thing again though, knowing how it ends.

It was pretty grim for Jessie.

I feel sorry for people that have to nitpick ever single aspect, because I can assure them, if you just let it be what it is, the enjoyment is much much more.

I liked the ending.

One thing that annoyed me a bit was how Jack had to prove to Walt that Jessie wasn't his partner. Was a little clichéd. Other than that, good stuff!

Shock ending and what **** off every fan in the world?
You only have to read the BB Reddit predictions thread pre finale to understand what most people wanted and Vince delivered.

why throw in a shock ending when its not really the nature of the show , nether is it necessary given that the ending was about resolving the characters and nothing more.

Exactly that.
