The shot earlier in the post of andy driving is after he has just gone to get some fuel, then we headed off to the pub for some food. Cymatty left his saxo in the pub carpark and hitched a ride in the cupra R. Then up the a640 to the gravel carpark, where i was greeted by a fantastic view:

The convoy, minus the saxo that was at the pub:

Where para decided to test agw's handbrake:

Overall, it was a good meet, but far too short :( weather was perfect though. Look forward to the next one guys

Cheers,

Tom.

Sorry i've not posted or even shown mu pics, but i've been far too busy drinking alcomafrol in various bars.

OMG at the HDR shots, and I never realised my car was that shiny! Needs another coat or two of wax though :p

One last post from me before I hit the sack...

Awesome pics Tom. Like I said today, that's a lovely camera.

Regarding El 'testing my handbrake'... I think the best thing about it was that I'd left the handbrake off and the car in gear just to make sure the rear pads didn't bind.

Going to have to sort the wonky grille out though. It looks so crap :( Going to look at a slight grille re-design too... cut the centre part out, fill it, and paint the whole thing body colour. Just trying to choose between silver or black mesh.

I'm so tempted to paint the rubbing strips too. They need treating every few weeks, and seeing as how they're coming off to sort the rust, I might spray them. I like the deep black look, as in picture 8 (me in the car) but think they'll also look good body colour.

Oh the decisions.

Once again, cheers for coming today Tom. Was good to meet you :)

:) cheers for letting me come.

Also, you've just said one of the things that annoys me most, so ill have to  you :p

"really nice camera"

Do you say "wow that food tasted nice, you must have really nice pans" to a chef? :p

Tom.

It was great to meet you Tom, always like to put a name to a face on OcUK! And you are right, I'm still yet to meet anyone from OcUK that I dislike!

You are right about what you said to Andy though, you most likely could have taken just as stunning shots with a "lesser" camera, as its your composition, photographic experience, and post processing skills that have brought the best out of the images, not the camera ;)

Would post some of my photo's but they are mostly the same angles as those already pictured (the group shot of cars etc).

We do need to sort out another meet, preferably when Andi can make it too.

Yes indeed, let me show off my purchase ;)

Looked like you picked the right day for it, don't know about up there, but its bloody miserable here today :(

What've you got andi?

Tom, I didn't mean any offence with that remark. I know it's possible to take awesome photos with a lesser camera (hell, even my 3mp Fuji can suprise me) but the quality of lesser cameras just can't compare with that of a decent SLR (that was my point :))

And you are right, I'm still yet to meet anyone from OcUK that I dislike!

 You mean you don't find me annoying?

Cos someone really wants to clone your car ;)

This always cracks me up... you drive past thousands of other cars everyday, like you need to surf obscure internet forums for numberplates to clone...

LMAO

:D

Read my reply to that ;)

I'd rather not have my plates on show due to the fact that I could post pictures of engine mods/decent ICE install up on here, and a prospective theif could then have a full list of the mods done to my car.

A thief can break your window, you still lock your doors.

Its just about reducing risk. Not likely someones going to clone your plates on here, but if you spend 2 mins removing them its impossible :)

AGW, not telling ;)

Wait till Tuesday.

Yeah but not your address...

Prospective thief sees modded car on internet, says ooooh must look out for that...

NOT!

Cloning isnt an issue anyway, if someone has your numberplate and runs a speed camera, you can send it back saying it wasnt you... I know loads of people who were cloned on Northants, the tickets were dropped...

:D

Being delivered to work :)

could have gone and got it yesterday but I bought it Telford, so it was easier to get it delivered. At least so i thought at the time, now the wait is killing me :D
