Rape is about sex. Men in African countries are simply less civilised than us so are less prone to keeping their natural urges under control as men mostly do in the civilised world.

I doubt we'll agree on this issue - either from a socialogical or anthropological perspective.

My own view is that treating rape as an lack of control, or inability to keep one's base urges in check, is in some way a validation of the act.
