Brendan Rodgers sacked - If you're happy and you know it KLOPP your hands !!!

I'm sat here beaming after watching the interview and press conference, absolutely ecstatic with his appointment.

Off to go get some bratwurst and black forest gateaux!

They'll win the league within a couple of years, pretty confident of that :(

Once he bins off half the squad and all the rubbish that Rodgers bought in

Absolutely superb interview at the press conference. I thought the interview yesterday with LFC was good but that one was just superb.

Someone else said it earlier in the thread, he is just so likeable. No wonder he garners such loyalty from his players.

Want to get excited but feel like we'll just bin him off if we go through a tough year (expecting this and next season to be tough to touch top 4/5), here's hoping that isn't the case and he can repeat his prior successes. Always awesome to have a manager who is just as, if not more delighted to be the manager than the fans having him.

Now now...you heard the man in his interviews.."dont be a doubter, be a believer" :p

Honestly, some of the responses like this are really insane.

LvG is just about doing well enough, but it's hardly enjoyable stuff, is it?

I've always rated Klopp. There's no real reason to sack LvG right now though so it was never going to happen.

I like Ancelotti a lot too and we should have a clear run at him, one would think. Appointing Giggs would be insane and I'm not sure Woodward will do it, too risky.

I don't doubt him and giving his all.

I doubt impatient and really some vile fans who turn when things get tough, we are in no way financially good enough to not have periods of rough time.

Regardless I shall let myself get overly excited and expect great things, most likely won't turn out the way you hope but blind optimism is one of the best parts of football instead of being doom and gloom

There was good reason why fans turned though, 2 seasons of dross and one excellent season was the sum of rodgers's reign, the fact that the team looked so limp and clueless last season and that continued into this season, surely meant his days were numbered. We spent money, serious amounts of money, none of the negative issues were addressed, so sorry for being a turncoat, but he had to go, and the way some of the coaching staff were dispensed with, left a sour taste with me.

I have no issue with people thinking Rodgers had his chance(I felt it was becoming unrecoverable), but the horrid stuff spouted by many was pathetic from apparent fans.

Same stuff happened with Rafa except even wanting him gone would place you under the stupid category.

The best line was the one about the press:

"Everyone has warned me about the British press - it's up to you to show me that they are all liars."

Watching that press conference makes me sick. He comes across as a really top bloke and I really hope it works out for him, but at the same time I really don't think I could take it on here if Liverpool actually won a Premier League title.
