Brendan Rodgers sacked - If you're happy and you know it KLOPP your hands !!!

Its pretty hard, on the one hand I never want to see Liverpool do well in any way shape or form but on the other hand I really like Klopp. Why do you test my love Klopp!!

As a Liverpool fan, I'd would gladly give Juergen the time (a whole three seasons) to work his way, and see if it works out. If it's showing good signs, then renew his contract.

He said he'll get a title in four years but I believe he meant a trophy, not specifically a Premier League win.

Would you be happy if he only won the FA cup in 4 years of managing Liverpool?

Hmmm, I guess that if he could cement Liverpool in the top 3-4 places then that would be considered a success but honestly, if you have continued improvement of a real amount over 3-4 years you would be looking at challenging for titles.

As we found with Moyes, its sometimes not just the results that get you sacked, its the manner you lose. Rogers said some retarded things when Liverpool struggled whereas I think Klopp won't have that issue. He is really hard to dislike and believe me, I will try to hate him as liverpool manager!

Hopefully what Klopp will provide is a clear methodology and style of football. Rodgers talked a lot about this but never seemed to be able to implement it correctly and that, combined with some odd/misfit signings, largely lead to a lot of frustration and confusion in the fanbase which didnt help his cause at all.

I think if Liverpool manage any cup, but also better performances in the league (eg. getting into the top four and staying there, or being in and out of those positions at the end of each season), that'll be a success... imo.

sounds like an Arsenal fan who thinks bein gin the top 4 is a trophy. Klopp will do to liverpool what Wenger did to arsenal, con them into thinking its ok not to win anything meaningful for seasons on end because they qualified for the champions league..................... and thats a trophy right.......... right........ ????

If Liverpool get back to being in the Champions League consistently, they'll then have the money with which to start competing for the league consistently. It's quite simple.

Not if they continue to sell their best assets (players) to the first club that comes along with a big bid. I know it's not easy to hold onto a player when a more attractive club/offer comes along but that's an issue that Liverpool have despite their history.

At the time Suarez wasnt even worth the original 40 million Arsenal bid according to Rodgers :/ Thank God we had John Henry saying he wouldnt be sold that window!

Continue to do that? They didn't with Suarez.

Spanish papers were reporting that Suarez was moving to Barcelona several days before the biting incident against Italy, Liverpool went from backing him wholeheartedly to "can't wait to get rid" overnight as though a deal had already been done before the tournament. They could have held onto him longer if they had wanted to and who knows what might have transpired, he might still be there be now and Stirling might not have wanted to leave. It's all if's and but's but you can't keep selling your best players whatever the reason.

By all accounts when he signed the new contract after the Arsenal bid there were verbal assurances of letting him go if the right offer came in from Barca/RM.

And only the top 3 clubs in the world (2 Spanish teams and Bayern) dont sell their best players.
