Publicity stunt, that is all.
Because London is a Labour/Libdem stronghold and the lefty white people love a good virtue signal
Not sure how you got that from the article.
What it says is that the swing that enabled khan to win was among white voters rather than bame voters.
The title clearly says "London election poll shows party colours matter more than skin colour in British elections".
It also highlights that labour still held a substantial lead in bame voters, although not quite the >75% of bame voters they had in 2012.
Yes there definitely was a swing, and it wasn't in BAME. BAME voted consistently.
Publicity stunt, that is all.
I read most of that article earlier. What I believe it says is that white people voted for Khan in greater proportions than Asians.
Its not our fault that your side keeps putting forward idiots and asshats. Fancy the Tories putting forward a black candidate in the hope that loads of racist would vote for him or that the BAME community would forget all the racist rhetoric coming from the Tories and its supporters for the last how ever many years. LOLI don't think you'll have to worry about that. Khan, despite being the worst mayor i have ever seen, still polling over 50%. SMH

Close ... you just need a word that rhymes with stunt.
I think you'll find that they voted for whoever they believed in.
as I felt more in tune with him than socialist Khan.
Interesting, are you the son of a billionaire too?
Seriously? You arrived at that from my post?
My old man drove a tipper truck in the years before WW2, then had a short but less than illustrious career in the 79th Armoured Division, abruptly curtailed by a Luftwaffe pilot near Caen in 1944.
He achieved his ambition of becoming an ex-serviceman in 1945 and drove trucks for a living all his life after that.
He’d go anywhere, anytime, to earn a few bob, and my mother never had to worry about paying the rent.
I took my cue from him and his work ethic, neither of us would trust Labour, they seemed only too keen to give money to the work shy.
I don't know why he thinks an American can win a British Mayoral election.
I find it strange that he is the odds on favourite in betting to beat Khan. He's even in front of the Conservative candidate Shaun Bailey.

I don’t know which bookie’s odds you’re going on, but I’ve checked out 3 of the big name bookmakers, and Khan is odds on favourite with all of them, 1/10, 1/12, and 1/12.
As you’re no doubt aware, that means that you have to lay £10 to win £1, or £12 to win £1, can’t get much more shorter odds than that!
I chose my words incorrectly. I was meaning Rose is the number 1 contender against Khan above the Conservative Shaun Bailey.
I was going to put a bet on Bailey to win. But I was reading that the Conservative HQ are pulling out resources from his campaign.
I'm not a fan of Khan and hope he goes. I'm just unsure if Rose can do it. I'll have to wait closer to the time before making a betting judgement.
