Am i the only person in brighton who thinks this is a bad idea?
The city is grossly over-populated as it is with parking an absolute struggle on the best days and now they have announced that the Brighton i360 is a go. This means there is going to be an additional 300/500 thousand people coming here every year (according to predictions) on top of all the current tourists/students and there is going to be 109 jobs created out of it.
I can’t believe “everyone” is so accepting with this idea, so it’s going to increase the tourism and it’s going to create some more jobs but tbh they should just build a new bloody supermarket, that’ll create at least 100 new jobs and it won’t put pressure on the already over-crowded city.
I'm not entirely sure how to explain how i feel about this but i'm not impressed, i've only lived here for a year now but i've been in and out of brighton for the last 4 years and even i can see that the city is asking to much of itself with this new development.
