Bristol Meet II

the only one i could even contemplate doing is the 28th of july, but even that's a slim chance, so don't work around me. That's my 1 weekend i currently aint doing anything.
 
Come up with a date and I will know if I can make it or not.
28th should be fine for me, or the week before.
 
Well seeing as the date has been mentioned, let's make it Saturday the 28th of July, and have done with it :)

It's more than enough time to get cheap advanced train tickets too, for those coming from further afield - I can offer a floor and maybe a blanket and pillow, but you might have to share a towel for showers ;)
 
If I'm in Bristol around that time then im up for a meet. As with Sara, i missed the last one due to being placed right before a big block of exams.

That day is good for me. I would be at home that weekend but I can come down to bristol for that weekend.
 
I'd edit the original post with the date and location. Also state it's over 18s only.

Unfortunately I have a mountain bike blat followed by an indian curry slap up meal to put all the wieght back on again that night.

Good to see some community spirit returning to the forums :D

Just realised i've got the week beginning the 30th off.. better pray they'll let me have an extra day :(
 
Awesome - I'd like to suggest meeting somewhere nice and outdoorsy if the weather is nice, like on the benches outside The Old Duke - and then move along to wherever the good music is coming from (a band called Babyhead are playing at some point, I WILL drag people to see them as they're fantastic).

It being a saturday, it'd probably be a late afternoon start (like, 4pm), then get some nice food, and get the ales in...
 
28th is probably gonna be free to me, so should be able to pop along also. :cool:

EDIT: Seen babyhead before - it was good (what I remember of it at least) :o

I also suggest meeting at the Waterfront Pub (by Pero's Bridge - the 'horn/shrek' bridge). The drinks selection ain't great but you can sit outside, dangle feet over the waterfront edge and wave to lost-looking OcUKers!

Anyone who wants to come earlier in the day, I daresay I could manage to put together a BBQ at the park nearest my place (St Andrews Park) and then walk/crawl our way into the town centre.

Am actually travelling down to Wales that day - spending my summer hols in a log cabin in north Wales, just me and the mrs ;)
