I know Faryl is yet another singer but I still think she should have won - wonderful voice for a girl of her age

What I really want to know is why the plumber (can't remember his name) had to sing a song that wasn't his choice. He didnt sing the song well and could have done a lot better with a different song.

Have to agree with your last point.

Why on earth did the producers choose "IMAGINE" for him?:confused:

Its a great track ,but the wrong song for a talent show final.
 
I think they get few choices from catalogue, just like on post audition stages of X-Factor or Idol.

Many contestants on American Idol mentioned previously that this is one of the common "rigging" procedures - they get choice of few country songs for girls and some unreachable classic and then some rock bwlter get to stand and listen how "their choice of Mariah Carey song, or choice of arrangement was awful".

For some songs and artist catalogues, rights are not available for public or tv performances. For example, this is the first year for few decades when TV and film can use Beatles catalogue, etc.

Regardless of whose choice it was though, he was out of tune. I've never come across a good singer who does a whole song off key, even if it's sight singing a piece they've never heard before. The performance may not have been as bad had he been in tune.

As far as the quartet are concerned, I knew players of a similar ability when I was still in school, in fact my ex was probably about their standard when he was 15.

Many people can play the violin or an instrument, they didnt deserve to win due to wearing nicely fitted dresses.
