BA is a crap airline.
The service by both the flight crew and cabin crew was excellent.

That's not unusual for most airlines in my experience. The service by both the flight crew and cabin crew was excellent.
Most of my recent travel has been to US on Virgin, so much better.
I flew from Heathrow to Dallas and back on a BA A380. I flew business class and the seating really sucks. The problems are that to get to the window seats you have to squeeze through two other seats and that you have to go through the space of the aisle seat. The latter isn't really a problem during the day when passengers are sat upright but is during a night flight when the passenger with the window seat needs to get up to visit the toilet because the aisle passenger needs to wake and move their legs out of the way.
I think you're missing the point --- for business class you don't expect to have to wake people up to go for a pee. The cabins are usually accessible without disturbing other people. It’s been like that since about 1986…you have to pick your seats….how did you not know this?

Funny you should say that.I feel like 7hrs to the States is not long enough to warrant Business Class seats...12-15hrs however.

We were supposed to fly from Atlanta to Heathrow (via New Orleans to Atlanta) last year, Storm in Atlanta meant we flew into and out of JFK, Cutting 3 or 4 hours off the flight and it was just the wrong length. By the time we had food and settled there was only about 4 hours of sleep to be had so arrived at Heathrow tired with a drive up to the North West once cleared of the Airport....
I'm now not really a fan of connecting flights....
It’s worth it if you’re on the Red Eye and have to attend meetings etc. the morning you land.I feel like 7hrs to the States is not long enough to warrant Business Class seats...12-15hrs however.

Weird, I flew to Miami a month ago in the top-deck economy section and thought it was ace, WAY better than the horrid flight back on a 747.I'm actually really disappointed with how far the A380s seem to have aged.
I flew on one shortly after launch and it was ace, flew on one recently and can see why airlines don't want them around, horribly configured planes that are clearly being run into the ground.
787 is the future.

don't think the Gatwick fleet are scheduled for an upgradeThat’s BA’s old Club World seat, and is being replaced fleet wide with their Club World Suite, first introduced on when the A350 came into service in 2019. I believe all the 777’s out of Heathrow have been done, and the Gatwick fleet is in the process of it. The 747 and A380 were pretty much dropped during the pandemic so may not have been planned for replacement, but with the A380 making a comeback I don’t know if they’re on the schedule for the upgrade or not.
