Those videos have been doing the rounds for the past week at work, they are awesome. :D

There is an AMM one somewhere.

Has any TG1 guys had ACOS Manning around recently? We had a brief last week off them about redundancy's, promotion (and the lack of it for the next few years) and signing on from 9-12 and 12-15 years (Again how its pretty much stopped now).

They even said they might have to bring in AMM redundancy's. :eek:

We are 182% overmanned and have 470 personnel surplus to the RAF though. :/

I'm expecting my bus ride home and a bag of sweets. :p
 
Wouldn't be surprised if clueless people used the two recent GR4 incidents as some sort of argument against the keeping GR4/scrapping Harrier decision in SDSR.

The coffee provided was AWFUL. Managed 1/2 a cup then had to throw it. Had the typical 'pack lunch', no breaks. It's like torture lol.

Although it sucks for the trainee's (and the inevitable bad PR it'll bring) I think it's a well made decision. There's still around 300 left in training and as we're losing around 60+ aircraft in the SDSR we don't need that number of new pilots anymore (or groundcrew etc - redundancy's and stopping AMM's going back to Cosford etc)
 
Ill be rather miffed if I dont make it back to Cosford lol.

Hopefully Ill get a return date when I get back from afghan!

I know there is meant to be a few. Hopefully you will be ok from what I have found out most of the cuts will be from people expecting to join and awaiting dates. Dont quote me on that though... I,m out this year so you can take my place...:D:D You don't need a fitters course to be a Fairy. Could teach you everything you need to know in a couple of weeks....
