Looks to me as though she does pay them on time.

As far as I know, the bills are due for payment on the day you receive them. If you play the system with 'paying them as late as possible' you can expect to receive some kind of reminder IMO.
Thank god for direct debit, I'd be absolutely knackered without it![]()

Why pay them early?
Because you're not actually paying them early, or giving it to them so they can put it in a bank account and pay someone at a later date, energy bills are usually for services already provided ie. for past billing periods.
I'm afraid that you won't be able to change supplier if your account is in 'dispute'.I am switching suppliers and will have my day in court with these numb nuts..
