Sod all of them, just get R5l to do it, practice sessions are awesome with them commentating.

Good race, despite working stupid nightshifts all weekend.

This shows exactly why I think mcLaren and Hamilton specifically will win.
Even on a bad weekend they score more points than they should, where RBR should have 6+ 1,2 finishes and consistently score far far far less points than they should be. As shown button is as fast as Hamilton and better strategic calls, but he suffers especially at qauli if he hasn't got the car set up right.

As for people saying stellar drive by vettle, rofl, it was a crap drive and he would have finished at the back if it wasn't for the SC.
And extremely harsh penalty for Alonso, yes he should have given the place back straight away, but it is not uncommon for them to ask Charlie what to do and give it back later. Surly they could have given grid penalty or something instead.

Surely it happend not close enough to the end of the race for a post-race / next race penalty to be applied?

Possibly,
even without SC it seemed harsh, as they usually can ask charlie and given the place back after a while.

it might be a drive through was the only option, would be interesting to know the exact punishments which can be applied.

Here we go
a) A drive-through penalty. The driver must enter the pit lane and re-join the race without stopping;
b) A ten second time penalty. The driver must enter the pit lane, stop at his pit for at least ten seconds and then re-join the race.
c) a drop of any number of grid positions at the driver's next Event.
However, should either of the penalties under a) and b) above be imposed during the last five laps, or after the end of a race, Article 16.4b) below will not apply and 20 seconds will be added to the elapsed race time of the driver concerned in the case of a) above and 30 seconds in the case of b).

So they could have given a grid drop instead.

For me Button has been stellar this season. When he signed for McLaren the press and certainly most commentators on blogs/forums thought it was a disaster, that'd he'd get destroyed by Hamilton on his home turf, see Alonso. But Button has absolutely kept up with Hamilton, the championship is still wide open.

Totally agree, I was one that thought he was going to be destroyed. I'm very glad he hasn't been.

"Sebastian received the newer front wing for reasons which were not clearly explained to me until Saturday late afternoon.

So explained to you late on Saturday, but still felt so strongly that when you finished the race you said "not bad for a 2nd driver"

This will blow up again, nothing more than a PR exercise.

We shall find out the answer to this question in the next 1-2 races.

The interesting thing will be if Webber and Vettel are in 1st and 2nd place, will RBR swap them around?

I'm finding this topic strange because in years gone by, it would be no big deal to ask the Webber to switch places with Vettel.

I remember a few times when Mansell actually stopped his car, to allow Patrese to win. Senna did exactly the same thing for Gerhard Berger.

rules have changed, public has changed, the sport has changed.
