British Grand Prix 2012, Silverstone - Race 9/20

Also, for whatever reason, Button is struggling to make his tyres last, these days. I guess the characteristics of the car just aren't suiting him.

7am at the latest on race day

Not so bad if you have a grandstand seat. The GP2 and GP3 races have been great though, so worth getting there to see those.

And Bigfoot, when you get dropped off head for the nearest entrance (follow the crowds) which will be around the Abbey area, go through the gate and then turn right. Walk behind the Pit Straight grandstand (you will be able to easily see both the grandstand and the roof of the Wing pit building) and then the Club grandstand is on the corner. Once your in the gate its a 10 minute walk at most.

And the Park and Ride buses have their own route into the circuit (they take the Media and Officials lane) so you wont get stuck in traffic.

silverstone needs better circuit drainage otherwise Bernie will give it the chop as there are plenty of other circuits that can take place within the season calander.

Also I think it's about time Ferrari got rid of Massa and considered a driver like Paul D.

I just had a quick look at the points table.
Alonso: 111 pts
Massa: 11 pts.

I don't think I need to say anything else regarding Massa's performance.

At the start of the season I did defend Massa. My reasoning was that it was too early in the season to be able to assess his performance level. But now, after 8 races, with Massa on 10% of Alonso's points - he has to go. A good driver would be expected to get about 25-50% of Alonso's points total. 10% is embarrassingly low.

What makes me laugh is when some F1 fans (and I use this term lightly), use the "Massa is faster than you" phrase. Suggesting that Alonso should move over to allow Massa through. Most commentators/drivers/F1 pundits agree that Alonso is the best driver in F1 and to even suggest that Massa is quicker than Alonso is laughable.

Predictions.

I think Schuey will finally do it, so..

8: Button

Vettel, Hamilton, Maldonado & Massa to bin it

What the hell is this? Its dry for the GP2 race currently on, and the Met Office only has the occasional light shower forecast!

If its a dry race I'm going to feel robbed!

for qual I said jenson. alonso msc on fb... so I wasn't too far off with two of them!

That's pretty old, I suppose he was in the sport for a few decades.

Any idea what the nearest we got to another fatality was? I'm thinking MIka in 1995.
He cerTainly prevented a lot of deaths.

Oh and what's weather like.
