British Grand Prix 2014, Silverstone - Race 9/19

He made a judgement call and got it wrong. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Indeed. But this wasn't bad luck like his two DNF's. Lewis should know that if there is any chance to go faster in the situation he was in, you have to take it.

You wouldn't see that meltdown from Alonso, he would be positive and realise the above points.

Exactly. Lewis always seems to be beaten mentally as soon as the smallest thing goes wrong and he makes it really obvious.

He needs to move on and pull himself together. If he's beaten in his head before the race it makes things so much harder on Sundays.

He did a great job at the last race of pulling it back, I just hope he can do the same tomorrow and doesn't suffer any bad luck.

id go as far to say it was a bad decision
there was no real drawbacks in carying on at all
It was a strange decision to drop out although as others have said hindsight is a marvellous thing.
Agree with Herbert on Sky saying that in wet conditions you NEVER give up as you just don't know what's going to happen

My prediction:

Lewis to carve his way into 2nd by lap five and then some epic battle with Rosberg for the rest of the race. Hopefully he will turn everything up to 11 to get past and deal with the fallout after the race. :p

This. I think he will be at least 3rd after the first few corners. I have a feeling Lewis will still win tomorrow.

He won't need to turn it to 11 to get passed Rosberg. 7 should do it ;) Tempting to have a punt on Lewis to win the race.

Amusing qualifying session. :D Great to see Jenson fluke his way to third, and who knows what Ferrari and Williams were playing at.

Rosberg to win! Hamilton won't do better than second, provided the other Merc keeps going. Hamilton's just too brittle.
