British Grand Prix 2016, Silverstone - Race 10/21

Strange that he got 5secs n Rosberg got 10secs last week. Same incident.

I was expecting to come here and see people asking for Vettel to be disqualified and given a 1 race ban like they were last week.

It depends.

With Vettel it looked like he almost came to a standstill, outbraking himself. If his intention was to force the car out wide off track, then it is difficult to prove.

Rosberg knew what he was doing.

Rosberg intentionally took that action which resulted in contact. Maybe I missed the replay properly but Vettel was turning and ended up wide. I'm not quite sure what happened because just before it Vettel's closing speed on Massa was insane and he had to avoid him before the corner. I suspect Massa had gone off then came back on a little unsafely right infront of Vettel. So Vettel was only stupidly tight and up the inside because MAssa was being a bit dangerous in the first place. Certainly wasn't a case of Vettel refusing to turn till too late, it was him being way too tight on the inside, a bit wet, not having the grip and ended up out wide.

Rosberg was penalised for 2 things last weekend. Neither were for forcing a driver off the track.

Rosberg actually doing something smart though. In 99% of situations with 1-2 assured in this situation the team tells the drivers to turn the engine down several modes and cruise to the end. If both drivers do it the lead can feel safe in doing so. Hamilton however is on his 4th turbo, Rosberg isn't, he knows that. It's in Rosberg's best interest to keep pushing fastest laps to get Hamilton to keep his engine turned up and doing fast laps. The more wear on Hamilton's engine the better as far as Rosberg is concerned now.
