I INTEND TO BUY A Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000 FOR MSN LIVE. I HAVE A 2 GB LIMIT PER MONTH ON BROADBAND, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL HOW MANY HOURS USE I WOULD GET WITH THIS LIMIT. OR TELL ME HOU MUCH MB PER HOUR FOR A WEBCAM IN GENERAL.
Webcam streaming shouldn't take up too much bandwidth - so long as you keep the resolution down.
Although if you are monitoring 24x7...
Best bet would be to monitor things for an hour and then do the maths from there:
See how much bandwidth you use in an hour and then multiply that by 720 to work out roughly the bandwidth to monitor a room 24x7 for an average month.
Oh and turn off your caps lock - writing in all caps gives people the impression that YOU ARE SHOUTING and you probably aren't
Your 2 gig willl soon be gone if its on for hours at a time.
I know someone in asustralia with a 5 gig limit who used to leave a cam running, and it soon goes.
