BROADWELL-E ALL THE THINGS!!!

£3650 and only 1 1080??? What's the system being used for man? If it's primarily gaming then downgrade the cpu and plump for another 1080!!

That cpu is only for bragging rights imo, unless you do some hardcore rendering etc ;)

The pc used for gaming & video encoding (u need 10 cores for maximum video encoding if I am correct here) as for gaming as I know most games only benefit for 4 cores these days.

Id be inclined to agree with JediFragger here, a 6 core chip would be plenty and cash saved could go towards another gpu. Will be a lot more of a boost in games than extra cores.

You can change out the Corsair sleeved cables, Super Flower do their own kit, its on the site.

Anyone know what size the Super Flower sleeved cables are? 3mm or 4mm. I'm wanting to order some combs and other bits and pieces I'll need to keep it tidy.

This is what I'll swap out for tomorrow:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £334.07
(includes shipping: £11.10)

I've gone bigger rather than having to change it in a years time.

I don't know if I'll add more GPU's in the future (seeing how the land lies with the changes with SLI and high bandwidth bridges etc.), I am also unsure how many disks I'll add in the long run.

Not sure if I'll add a half dozen internal large SATA disks for storing some of the less intensive parts of my VMs on or if I'll get a Synology.

So I'm just covering all my bases, I don't plan on making major changes to this build in the foreseeable future apart from graphics cards, I'm sure I won't be able to resist swapping them at some point.

Looks great bulldog, although the new 1070 cards are superceeding the 970's and are coming out on Friday :) (although a bit more, they're as quick as the current 980Ti). That psu will also handle 2 cards when you're ready :)

I'd also be tempted to just get a good solid £200-£250 motherboard, that MSI is complete overkill for the money
