Ok guys,
On one of my sata drives, as I slid the hdd caddy out from my case, one of the sata cables popped off the hdd....only problem is that it took the little plastic bracket off the hdd as well (the thing that the cable plugs into).
I dont think this is going to be something that I can fix to be honest (and have remain working). I was thinking that to get the actual data off the drive I could cut the end off of a sata cable, seperate out each little subcable and somehow manually attach the subcables to the pins on the hdd. Has anyone ever tried this? If there is a guide online somewhere it would be ace
Am I the only one that is starting to think that those little connetors on the end of sata hdds are actually rather flimsy for the job?
Mike
