Hello
i have a problem and rather than crack on i thought id ask some advice first .

Moved from one case to another and noticed that i had broken the power connection on the back of my sata hard drive.
the pins are thyere but no plastic bit to actually hold it still for the connection to the power cable .

any ideas how to get the thing hooked up so i can remove the data on it ?
its my backup that just sits in the pc usually not connected so it doesnt get corrupted just damaged by my fat fingers Doh

Insulation tape might be better as it's more flexible and allows you to control the pressure on the cable as it's presented to the broken connector.

this happened to my 300 gig raptor. there goes the resale value...

Still have the plastic clip, but now it's a pain in the arse any time I go near the drive. have to make sure it's firmly connected...

SATA connectors are crap. No way this would ever happen to an IDE hard drive! :D

Thank you very much for the replies ,much appreciated .
Freddie64 i think i will try that idea i will try the tape first then the glue as a last resort .

Thanks
