I'm constantly breaking fingers and toes (hockey player, plus I have a strange habit of doing it) - it'll heal in due course, be a bit painful for a while though. Just keep it strapped up, but not too tight or it'll prohibit the healing

yeah! Both mine are deformed! They lay over the toe beside it.
Right one obviously worse now.
My Grandad had the same with his toes. Maybe it's genetic?
No idea about broken bones, but about 6 years ago I trapped my right ring finger in a heavy metal door...
I did exactly the same thing to my right index finger (going over the bars on my BMX) years ago. It has full strength & flexibility back now, but if I compare my index fingers looking from above, the right one is noticably wider (and slightly bumpier-feeling) around the knuckle. And it still hurts occasionally if I climb/grip a lot in the cold.No idea about broken bones, but about 6 years ago I trapped my right ring finger in a heavy metal door... swelled up and hurt for a few days, and then just went normal coloured again, but remained slightly enlarged - to this day my right ring finger bone in the second segment is bigger, the bone feels to be larger and a bit bumpy. I love my slightly deformed finger. Maybe you'll get a cool barely noticeable deformity too - trust me, it's awesome.
