Has anyone tried the BSN line of Suppliments? I was thinking of getting some BSN-NoXplode or some BSN-Nitrix to get bigger pumps.... I train my ass off as it is... Just wondering if these products are any good? Thanks

I think most people around here will just tell you to sort out your diet and training routine and save your money.

I haven't tried those BSN products so can't comment directly on them

dont see the point unless you are really in need of it.
a change of pre workout meal may be better for you.

Fantastic stuff imo no-explode really does get you going before the gym (just about to have mine now :))

Then some cell mass after training

Try it judge for yourself -- people react differently to things

it works for you compared to what?
what is your normal pre workout meal like?

Depends really

Had a tuna sandwich, smoothie and protein drink at 3.30ish

Will have this no-explode now and maybe a oat bar before i go in just to keep my carbs up

:)

so its ontop of other things, rather than a replacement?

what i am getting at is you are saying it works, but does it work compared to a well thought out diet. If yes, great, if no, then surely a better diet would be a cheaper option.

Well i find it really does give me that boost of energy compared to going in without it - I find i am able to push the extra reps.

I have a well thought out diet anyway imo - what i have eaten pre-workout is good and healthy :)

Brother had some, said it was great for energy and pump but at the time his diet was perfect and there's just no match for a great diet.

In his opinion it is one of the better suppliments out there, but you should only take it if you need the extra boost.

I have never tried it myself.

Ingredients List said:
NO-Xplode Proprietary Blend: 20,500mg
(NO-Xplode Contains a patent pending nutrient suspension matrix & Efforsorb Delivery System)

NO Meta-Fusion (patent pending)
(L-arginine AKG, Citral-M (citrulline malate), L-citrulline AKG, L-histidine AKG, RC-*** (rutacarpine 95%), gynostemma pentaphyllum (95% gypenosides), NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide)

Muscle Volumizing Creatine Matrix (patent pending)
2CM (dicreatine malate), Betapure (trimethylglycine), Glycovol (glycocyamine), GuaniPro (guanidino proplonic acid), Cinnulin PF (aqueous cinnamon extract), keto-isocaproate potassium

Ener-Tropic Xplosion (patent pending)
L-tyrosine, taurine, Endurlac (glucuronolactone), l-tyrosine AKG, methylxanthines (caffeine), MCT's (medium chain triglycerides), vinpocetine 99%, vincamine 99%, vinburnine 99%

Phospho-Electrolyte Replacer
Calcium phosphate, magnesium oxide, potassium phosphate, sodium phosphate

Glycerol Hydrating Polymers
Potassium glycerophosphate, magnesium glycerophosphate, glycerola stearate

Other Ingredients: Maltodextrine, citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, lemon juice powder, malic acid, potassium citrate, natural and artificial flavors, aspartame, acesulfame potassium, FD&C Red 40, FD&C Blue 1.

I have no idea what half that stuff is and i doubt most people would ever read the label anyway. What things I do see are caffeine, sugar, taurine, NO compounds and some artificial colours and sweeteners. Caffeine and sugar are great at "giving you energy", taurine keeps you hydrated (against the caffeine) and the NO compounds give you the pump. Would you get the same effect swigging down some caffeine powder, maltodextrin, taurine and AAKG? Probably. Do the other 35 ingredients on that list make it any more "powerful"? Unlikely ;)

^^^ Dont forget the Creatine ^^^

You could take all the ingredients separately it is an option .... but why not take it altogether in a convenient drink. For me it makes life just a bit easier :)

Think you've kinda missed my point. I was trying to suggest that the majority of people don't know what half those ingredients are and/or what they do let alone how they might interact or have any long term build up. There's just too many unknowns for the same or similar performance from the basic stack outlined above.

The convenience argument is just laziness :p Would only take 15mins to measure up the raw ingredients from MP into a "convenient" powder that would last months ;)

Who knows half the ingredients in the chocolate bar you get from the shop ;)

I just go to the shop buy 1 tub .... easy - its up to you if you wonna buy all the ingredients separately then mix it, get a tub to carry it in etc..... probably wont taste as good either :p I just would rather be training or playing tf2 than mixing a load of ingredients above ;) but if you have the time it is an option

Half the reason I don't eat them!!

This discussion could go on and on so i'll say the following.......it really isn't a big deal buying 5 ingredients from your preferred online supplements retailer (with tub) ;) and mixing them in the right proportions, takes 15mins max. Quite apart from offering the same performance with traceability of ingredients its undoubtedly cheaper. As for taste, it should never be a consideration  ;)

If you're happy spending the money and it gets you results then go for it. I would rather use supps more sparingly and effectively than buying a premixed formula :p
