Nah its fine, i shall stick to my FTTC via ADSL24 me thinks.I'm sure a video showing BT Infinity vs Be* downloading a massive file from newsgroups would soon change your mind![]()
I downloaded flash yesterday and it took a few secs.
I thought 12am the torrent throttling was lifted.
Started a very popular torrent.
Speeds under 200KB/s untill 12.35am then went up to 500KB/s then as soon as 1am hit, full speeds, jumped up to 2MB/s +
There's no throttling offpeak that I'm aware of.To whoever is using infinity, is there much throttling on torrent upload speed in offpeak hours?
There's no throttling offpeak that I'm aware of.
Now that you mention it, that may well be true.I thought Bit torrent uploads where always capped 24/7 tp 100/KBs
Ok.
If you go to the download site it will take hours.
However if you go to the about flash page (where it checks if you have flash) it will install it in seconds.
Very very strange.
I never encountered this issue when with Be. Thank good I found a workaround for it.
However i wonder if it affects the download of other adobe softer from the adobe website?
It must be a BT issue, rather than adobe. Never encountered this issue before.

It did disconnect on me, so hopefully this time its stable.
Didnt realise when the equipment comes on you have to manually choose to connect and have to log in!
That's my results after upgrading to Option 2. I'm quite happy with the pingtest result and my download speed, but I was expecting a higher upload since most people seem to be getting at least 7Mb. This is my laptop straight into the modem, no router involved. Any ideas?
