@ Valo
Yes Openreach Engineers are authorised to do NTE extension socket swaps. The fastest way for them to install it for you would be to crimp through the back of the master in the cupboard and fit the new NTE and SSFP at that point
@varkanoid
Yes Openreach have taken on 250 apprentices for MI (managed installs (aka FTTC)) and they are fast track in practical training. Now if your engineer is an apprentice he will have had 15 weeks of intense training (a total of 6 weeks away from home intotal) as well as 9 weeks of buddying and in the field training. He clearly is a moron who didnt use initive.
TOALL: DO NOT PUT HH3 ONTOP OF VDSL MODEM!!!!
The VDSL modem must be either wall mounted or not be in a place where heat build up it likely or it has a high chance of failure
@happy_2008
I have had both, Frankly Virgin have a lot of good outer package but if things go slightly wrong or you happen to like downloading things a lot then they have archaic traffic management (aka 75% speed reduction for being a heavy user)
BT infinity has no p2p 4-12 weekdays and 9-12 (am-pm) weekends. Simple and no other throttles exsist
Its up to you
@cp88
AFAIK
Older adsl FUP: 120gb
Current adsl fup: 150gb
VDSL infinity fup: 300gb
DISCLAIMER: out of all my information this is my weakest please if you know better then advise me else this is what I believe the fups to be.
@bingham67
Yup FTTC will be avalioable in 80/20 flavours near the end of this year/ early 2012 (p.s. if you are currently sad about waiting for FTTC by the time you get it it will have been already installed in 5 million homes with lots of feedback and information to make it better so it is worth the wait)
@cp88 again
(ha just got your username i think

)
Would not be sure about it being a replacement for the 40/10 flavour, but now I have second thoughts unless you pm me otherwise
