Yer nan's knickers
Is this that pr0n filter that was doing the rounds earlier in the year? I just tried to visit a perfectly normal site and this massive pop up appeared asking if I'd like to enable parental controls. I said no, told it to sod off, but it's being a pretty persistent bugger.

How the hell do I get rid of it? There are no kids in my household, we're all adults, I have no intention of dealing with this nanny state nonsense.

VPN perhaps?

I said no, it said "you've selected no", at which point I clicked "close" and it just stays there. I have to restart tabs / chrome / mess about to do my usual browsing.

You sure its the BT one not some random malware? Ring BT tell em to take it off and that should be it.

Awkward conversation though.

"Hi, I'm trying to find out why my parental lock keeps activating."
"Sorry sir, what are you trying to access."
"Cough.. well.. adult videos."
"Thank you sir. I can't see anything wrong with your account, so I'll need to investigate further. What content are you trying to open specifically?"
"Midget blondes Riding Blacks 2: Rodeo"

:p

:D I lolled

LOL EE Actually block the Overclockers Forums by default! Do forums have a rating that would make them think that OCUK forums has any adult material??

Used to be the case anyway.

I've had this with Virgin Media as well a few weeks back when looking at Imgur via reddit :o

Just took me too clicked No and it has been gone since but you can login to your account online to enable/disable.

They're quite happy to accept you're an Adult when paying their bills of course... If BT or any other ISP wants to treat its Customers like Children then just stop paying the bills they send you, they cannot Legally Contract with an under-18 in the UK and therefore their Services are rendered invalid and it would technically be illegal for them to offer their Services and Charge a Fee for such Services to under-18s without explicit Parental Consent. Ridiculous Nanny State Govt. bull****. :D

Phew, thanks guys, I'll see what I can do.

After browsing with various ISPs for at least 15 years without a single intervention, you can imagine my surprise when suddenly this pops up!

LOAM > :D
