Toby Moody won't be commentating this year, which is good as he often mixed up cars/drivers even though some had different liveries. David Addison will take over.

Toby Moody was an awful BTCC commentator, he clearly was never into 4 wheel motorsport.

Hope the new guy knows his stuff, and isn't as dramatic as Toby used to be, used to get on my nerves. Ben Edwards was great and used to enjoy his commentary. Tim Harvey is a bit boring, but certainly knows his stuff

It will be interesting to see which is quicker over a race.

But locking them into a tyre strategy the day before, and before they have even qualified, is pants.

I think it's fairly obvious how it will pan out. Select soft tyre for race 3 when you expect all hell to break loose! They are clearly the quicker tyre, but fade much quicker than the rest. So if you are near the front, and can build up a big enough lead while all the action is happening behind you, then it won't be so much of a downfall when they start to deteriorate in the later stages of the race.

Do we know what tyre they are allowed to use for qualifying?

I don't know what Team Hard were thinking with those Insignias, clearly uncompetitive and will spend the rest of the season back of the grid.

Team Hard are clueless and unorganised its embarrassing. Tom Onslow-cole spent the day battling with S2000 spec cars, which is highly embarrassing when he is a proven race winner in a higher powered car!

They tweeted on Thursday morning asking if anyone had a spare trailer so they could transport one of their cars to Brands! They were due the same day...

It's a shame really as they have a decent plan and nice cars too, but they are far from technically gifted and lack any true racing pedigree as a team (excluding the drivers).

Anyone heading down to Donnington this weekend? I'm heading straight from work today, picking up a mate along the way and stopping in a Travelodge for the weekend!

Hoping for some decent weather down there, been very windy up north lately. Also hoping for a Mat Jackson win :D...

Travelodge... now that's a good idea, even if that one is in a service station and is a bit grotty.

Was only £10 a night each...

Can't complain, have always stayed at Travelodge's since I started going to BTCC events 5 years ago, and they are cheap and good for 3 adults (can't find anywhere else that can fit us).

Camped twice, and both were horrendous. Knockhill had gale force winds, then a van parked right outside our tent and decided to run the generator all night. Brand Hatch was a sweat fest with the overnight heat, woke up with a pool of condensation on my sleeping bag

Leaving work about 3:45 and heading down straight away.

Cheers Marvin. Ill go for a wander around the GP loop. You never seem to see many people round there on the TV coverage? I seem to remember chatting to someone about it and there isn't any speakers for the commentary round there?

I love going up to the GP loop, it's a much better experience just hearing the cars fly past without any commentary on the speakers.

Our paths must have crossed, I was stood in that tent for quite a while!
