BTCC 2013 Season

I knew Mat and Aaron would be in there at that time so I just jumped in and got a couple of pics, fed up with elbows in my back. I also had some stupid woman pushing into my backpack for the whole time I was queuing for the pit walk, as if pushing me is going to get you further...

Yeh I had seen on Twitter that they would be there. They didn't advertise is very well other than that. I was there when they rolled up, and they stood there for about 2 or 3 minutes until anyone decided to go and get a signed postcard!

The only annoying thing about the pit lane walkabout is we head up to the top of the pits first and walk our way down. So we get to miss all of the MG/Honda hype. However when we got to the bottom and wanted to exit the way we came in. We were told we had to go all the way back up to the top. Which then took ages to filter out through the small gate...

Logic seems to fail on the Marshals...

Makes more sense really, I could tell it was from top to bottom from the notable lack of people walking back down the pits towards us - this time I got to see every garage even when trying to push through at get some pics of the MG/Honda garages, at Brands I was being turned around by the time I got to the 4th garage along.

This is why Knockhill, is and always will be my favourite track. The "pits" are essentially accessible all the time, you get to watch the teams work on the car. And there's no marshals dictating where you can and cannot go. Plus being so close to the action on the track is good too!

I think my ears will be sore this year tho, the BMW's almost deafened me at Donny.

Unlucky for Jordan.

Nice drive from Mat Jackson to finish 7th, has some serious pace today, which is nice to see. Was attacking all curbs too and was fully expecting a puncture!

Also what was people's opinion on the Shedden/Plato incident? I thought it was shed dens fault by turning into Plato... Bizarre move on his part I thought.

My claim to fame!

I love following the BTCC people on twitter, they always have fun banter.

Ticket for Oulton Park booked. Any vantage point recommendatons?

Infield is good at cascades, you can see them exit the first corner, head up past the lake, and then come back down into the chicane. These tend to be where most of the overtaking gets done, unless your Matt Neal and you fancy a last minute dive into Lodge against your team mate :p

There was some very miserable faces in the crowd for the last race, I am glad I didn't make the trip up for that one.

We bailed just before the race started. Been to Croft before in that kind of weather. Fields get soaked and you end up in hours worth of gridlocked traffic.

10 minutes before I had only popped back to the car to get my raincoat on as the skies looked dark. Luckily I did otherwise I would have got even more drenched!

Anyone else think the racing was poor on Sunday?

Don't think I've ever been so bored watching a BTCC race in my life. Really starting to go downhill big time now. It's rare you see a clean pass, and the noobs at the back are wiping people out.

I love how Andrew Jordan can't pass Matt Neal to save his life (because he can't punt him).

Much better racing this weekend, chuffed for Rob getting his first win.

Nice to see the emotion of someone who just loves to race. IMHO he's probably one of the most talented racers out there too. It's quite obvious that the wet conditions separates the men from the boys too.

Also nice to see Jackson have a consistent weekend too.
