Anyone heading down to Donnington this weekend? I'm heading straight from work today, picking up a mate along the way and stopping in a Travelodge for the weekend!

Hoping for some decent weather down there, been very windy up north lately. Also hoping for a Mat Jackson win

Travelodge... now that's a good idea, even if that one is in a service station and is a bit grotty. I'm waiting to be picked up and we're staying in Kings Mills campsite in Castle Donington this weekend. Hopefully we can catch a bit of practise this afternoon too.

Was only £10 a night each...

Can't complain, have always stayed at Travelodge's since I started going to BTCC events 5 years ago, and they are cheap and good for 3 adults (can't find anywhere else that can fit us).

Camped twice, and both were horrendous. Knockhill had gale force winds, then a van parked right outside our tent and decided to run the generator all night. Brand Hatch was a sweat fest with the overnight heat, woke up with a pool of condensation on my sleeping bag

Leaving work about 3:45 and heading down straight away.

Only saw the last race and was amazed to see Plato being beaten by a team mate. Not sure I've ever seen that.

Onslow Cole's Passat is a good looking car too. :cool:

Even if it does look a bit of a barge compared to some of the shopping trolley's out there.

We got a little sun burn too

deceptively chilly wind though. Where did you sit? We got on the inside of redgate for the first race then on the chicane before the grid for the rest. Good times.
