BTCC 2020

Uploaded the Mini crash earlier.

Could have been a lot worse with the driver trapped door down, so good and quick thinking from the marshal to kick the windscreen in and the driver to punch and push it from the inside, apparently cutting his hand in the process.

End of day update from TOCA regarding Andy Neate : "Disqualified from the race meeting for an act prejudicial to the interests of motorsport generally in making a threat of physical assault by the use of his car to make deliberate contact with another competitor."

Apparently a Leopard can't change its spots.

Utter waste of a seat.

Clearly only there to bring his wallet, but surely there's a point where running at the back and getting involved in incidents such as this is actually doing more harm than good to Motorbase (in terms of bad results, reputation and consequently putting off potential title sponsors).
 
Neate has been on Chairman Gow's naughty list a couple of times. Pile of unpaid bills in his name from the Chevy project years ago, also the 2016 third Honda debacle. As we've seen this weekend, he's got a slight red mist problem.

Motorbase had a title sponsor pull out in March. Good team. Shame for them to have to run Neate instead.

Guess we'll see if he's welcome at Silverstone...
