"Buddy"

The only person I ever knew to say bud was a welsh workmate of mine but thats going back a fair while so it's nothing new. It seems to be all mate in this part of the world.
 
I use a broad array, but never "mate" or "bud" or "dog". I hate those.

Ones I use:

Talking to a Hispanic: mang or holmes i.e. "sup mang".

White people and Asians: homeslice, homie, duder, bro, dude, guy.

Elderly white people: "boss" or "chief".

People of color (I'm partially of color myself): cuz, bro or ***.

British people: "guvnor".

Candians: guy.
