Budget 2012

I've got a motorbike, and now a pedal bike to reduce my mileage in my ST, but still get dry bummed to the tune of £260 regardless of mileage, meanwhile Mr. 320d doing XX,XXX miles per year pays £165, CO2 output based VED has and always will be a load of ****.

Yea but it wont take effect for a whole year. So they'll champion how great it is and we've still got a year to go before we can even benefit from it.

And the basic rate band has been decreased again so if your are a higher rate tax payer there will be very little gain at all!

It won't be picking on the motorists exclusively. It will be picking on everything that affects those who can least afford anything.

Another 4p?

Oh dear, makes me die a little inside when I think back to my dad paying 89.9p a litre.

4 x 50 litre tanks a month - £270 at current prices.
£215 tax per year going to what?

But I get an extra £60, I think, per month due to the PA changing. Go me.

I dont think its quite that much, more like 30 if it goes up to 9205

But it's all about the CO2!!!111 None of the other stuff even matters according to Mr. Taxman. They need to change the VED system to make it fairer on people who do less miles, but how else would you do that without sticking it onto fuel prices making them even more unbearable?

It all ties in to the stupid Green Tax they love though, "Wind Power is the future" they say. Look at America, there was a news article recently showing how they're all now delapidated and wasting away. We don't need millions of wind turbines costing us all loads of cash, stick some Nuclear Plants down, get rid of this green tax malarky then drop our Fuel Duty back down to something sensible!

If only they could afford to get rid of the VAT that's charged on Duty (Which is, by it's own definition, wrong!)

What I want to know is why the 40% bracket was dropped £4000 ish last year. The rich are so rich they don't care, but the middle class seem to get bent over and shafted over and over. The middle class get no help with Unviersity yet can't afford to pay for their children to go (or at least 'top up' the loans which don't even cover the room) and get bummed so hard for everything yet get no benefits.

People can't afford to go to university, what on earth? I don't think that's really true.

I'm hoping in this budget for a increase of the tax free threshold to be increased to 10k, and for it to then be off set against fuel.
That should keep the Lib Dem supporters happy, oh wait, there's no pleasing them. :D

Also pandering to the politics of envy The Sun readers but keeping the 50% or dropping to 45%
