Budget AMD Gaming System

I am not worried about overclocking. Would it be better to go for an H77 chipset? not sure what the difference is? also do gigabyte have a good reputation these days? have had a couple of duds from them before some years ago. Also would the Corsair Builder series 500 watt psu be ok?

Drop to that board and get the 7870 LE.

Tbh, a 7950 is only 175.00
 

So much for no more on the budget ;)

That'd be a good gaming system. No point in getting the Z87 board with a chip you can't overclock, drop that and stretch to the 7950.
 
That's just about a high end gaming PC, good for the money. It'll play most games at max settings at 1080p so she should be more than happy.
