I already have os and HDD. I would like an ssd .
No keyboard mouse needed.

Yes. You get 640 stream processors with the card I specced, compared to 512 on that Kaveri, but the Kaveri uses RAM memory so you'd have more than just 1GB. However, it's DDR3 not DDR5 and 1GB would be "ok" for light gaming and give you more frame-rates than Kaveri, imo. The i3 is also more powerful than the CPU aspect of the Kaveri APU.

With that said, your spec is fine and won't be too far from mine in performance, in case you have your heart set on that APU. If you want to overclock then the choice is even simpler.

Which option would be more future proof and which has more upgrade options?

Remains to be seen what AMD comes out with for the FM2+ socket. You can search for news on that but I haven't seen anything that would compare to an i5 or i7 (non-K) CPU which could be used on the Intel mobo.

As for GPU, that budget Antec PSU would have to be upgraded if you went for a considerably more powerful GPU in future. It can only handle cards which require a single 6-pin PCI-E power connector, and a low power draw. Off the top of my head - something like a GTX 660/750Ti.

The case isn't exactly ideal for upgrading GPU either. But it should do the job unless you go for a hot R9 290 or similar.

Z97 would give you more upgrade options, yes. But ATX size won't fit in that case, so find another or choose a Micro-ATX Z97.

Get yourself faster RAM too, as Z's can handle faster than 1600MHz. 2133/2400 is the sweet spot.

And grab a Samsung 840 EVO SSD, and enable Samsung High Performance and Rapid Mode and watch it fly. It'll be £12 or so more expensive but worth it.

Okay thanks !

which heatsink would be best?
I would prefer a very quiet one.
max £20

Which CPU are you going for in the end? If it's the i3, then the stock cooler is fine. I ran i7-4770's in two builds with the stock cooler and noise wasn't a problem once I tweaked BIOS settings for the CPU fan a little (I made the gradient less steep so that I wouldn't hear the speed changing so much). And the i3 shouldn't get as hot. So I'd try the stock cooler first and see how it is for you.

i am going for i3. but i will be purchasing everything in a week.
for the time being for my current ancient spec i would like to buy a very quiet heatsink and then when i buy the new components simply move it on to there.
atm i am using 775 socket.

Okay thanks a lot. I will go with the Raijintek Themis Direct Contact CPU Cooler.
One more question. Do I qualify for free shipping?
