im sorry but this thread smells abit and it always has, i mean come on, you magically knew the temps of you nb and ram by touching it...... yeah sure :rolleyes:

ever heard of speedfan?
yeah people said my ram may not have tempriture probes have i touched it to check?
and i did it was burning hot and speedfan was monitering at 50oc and yes i touvhed it whilst it was running just to make sure.
Make sense?

i think the best thing is if i create a new build logg for my x4-x6 as all im missing now is a gpu ddr3 and a heatsink

sorry to dig up such an old thread but i have actually done this, the same HP board from the first page, 8gb DDR2 667 ECC, 2 quad core xeon E5335's and a radeon HD5850 all for £100 (minus the GPU as that i have had for a while which i bought for £60 some time before i got this lol) but i have yet to throw any games at it.
