Sorry to hear about the motherboard! Bad times indeed!
But it sounds that you've got a decent plan ahead! If i was you i would sell the cpu, making decent money on them and then if possible scrounge some more money from say a small job. Just make sure you have a decent budget... say around £450 and then ask for advice before buying anything... believe me the advice you get around here is superb! Then hopefully you will have an excellent build that will last you for a while!
Whatever you do don't rush into it and it may seem unrealistic for a kid of your age to save up that amount of money but its doable. It will be totally worth it in the end
