hi there
i am looking for a "budget" pc for my old man to play on the fs2020. budget around £1K.
Have looked at overclockers and others for example
**No Competitors !**
at this price bracket it seems to be an i5 or a ryzen 5,
16Gbyte is pretty much needed for fs2020 and an m2 ssd would be very desirable to aid loading times etc
graphics cards i have very little knowledge about.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk...-5-3600-geforce-gtx-1660-super-fs-1dv-og.html

he would be playing in HD not 4K

im looking to make it a reasonably quick operation with a little room for os and fs updates to slow down everything in time.

any expreience in this price bracket or suggestions re graphics cards of these listed or similar would be gratefully recieved!

cheers

Ok that’s interesting - I would have thought they would have threaded it well given that was always a problem with the older technology used with fsx

hi there guys
thanks for the comments etc
i have gone for a system from somewhere else in haste.
i5-10600K, m2 ssd & large disk, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
since it is for HD only it seems to work very well. i have made the recommended games and performance switches to the graphics and windows drivers and all seems fine. the 16Gbyte is being monitored and there is space for a further 16 should it be needed.
it is interesting to hear abou the directX from the above article (pointed to by turbot1984) - when they make he upgrade to DirectX12 this may produce better threading.
loading times are a little lengthy however but i think this is maybe dependent on complexity of airport. eg JFK-SFO is a cup of tea job while KOI-WIC is merely a chance to adjust the seat!
thanks to all who made comments
cheers
