Hey there, i need some help making sure these parts will work together for my new pc build. Any help is appreciated. Also will this be able to run games like BF3 and Arma 3 on medium settings without lag ?

Motherboard - AsRock N68C-GS FX Motherboard

CPU - AMD ADX640WFGMBOX Athlon II X4 640

GPU - ASUS HD 6670 GDDR5 1GB

Ram - 4GB DDR3

Unless you go second hand I cant help I am afraid. That would run low settings fine though.

At the moment these are my specs

CPU - Intel Pentium E5800 Dual Core 3.20GHz

GPU - ASUS HD 6670 1GB GDDR5

Ram - Rendition BGII1JG-9J 4GB 240 pin DDR3 ECC

Thats a side grade more than an upgrade I'd say :/

What do you mean a side grade ? Im not looking for a amazing super PC i cant afford that. I got the GPU two month ago because i couldnt afford to upgrade everything but i finally got some money now.

Get a cheap Q6600 and a second hand 7850 or something.
The GPU is pretty poor, no point getting an Athlon II and new board to accompany it.

What do you mean side grade ? I upgraded my GPU two month ago because i did not have enough money to upgrade my whole PC. Will the new CPU and adding a extra 4GB ram make a difference ??

By side grade I mean the Athlon isnt going to perform much better than a E8400. I'd grab a Q6600 like Martini sade and sell the 6670. Grab a 7850 with that money.

Well the Athlon II X4 is a fair bit better than the Dual core in BF3, but both will push the 6670 anyway.

Agree, A Q6600 and a *b grade*/ secondhand 7850 should only set you back about £160-£190.. Selling the E8400 and 6670 will bring it within your budget.

I'd be surprised if it was that much, I sold a Q6600 and brand new 1GB 7850 for about 110.

Also its a E5800 not a E8400

It's compatible with both the Q6600 and 7850.
